My research focuses on the investigation of diversity of bacteria associated with the marine organisms including sponges, corals etc isolated from the Persian Gulf. I am particularly interested in both identifying of polyketide synthase genes from marine sponge metagenome and the potential of marine bacteria for novel natural product discovery.
